Private sessions
For nearly ten years, Our Yoga Space was a place to practice together. Although the studio has closed, you can still work privately with Em and Lyndsey.
Between us, we bring more than 45 years of teaching experience. We each work a little differently, but share a belief that a useful practice begins with the person in front of us. A private session gives us time to understand what you need, work at your pace and offer guidance you can take into everyday life.
Private Yoga with Lyndsey
Drawing on decades of practice, teaching and study, sessions weave together asana, pranayama, meditation and the deeper contemplative traditions of yoga, while creating space for personal enquiry and conversation.
The physical practice is important, but it isn't the whole practice. Yoga can also provide a framework through which we become more curious about ourselves, the patterns we repeat, the way we respond to challenge, what we hold onto, what we might be ready to let go of, and how we meet the changing seasons of our lives.
Each session is shaped around the individual and what is present for them that day. At times the practice may be strong and physical; at others quieter, restorative or reflective. Breath, meditation, philosophy and inner enquiry can be woven naturally through the session rather than treated as separate disciplines.
Lyndsey's approach is warm, grounded and down-to-earth. There is no requirement to be particularly flexible, experienced or even especially “good at yoga.” The intention is simply to meet you where you are and use the many tools of yoga to support greater awareness, vitality, resilience and connection to yourself.
Yoga that meets you, on the mat, and beyond it.
Private Sessions with Em
Private sessions with Em offer a space to explore how you meet your life, drawing on practices that support both your energy and your understanding of yourself.
With over 15 years of teaching and guiding others, Em brings together Yin Yoga, Qigong, meditation, breath and Dharma, informed by Buddhist and Taoist philosophy, the Chinese Five Elements and an understanding of fascia and the body’s meridian pathways. Personal enquiry and honest conversation are woven through the work, creating room to explore what is happening in your life and how it is being experienced in your body.
The physical practice is important, but so is understanding where your energy goes. Sessions invite you to become curious about the patterns you repeat, the expectations you carry, how you respond to change and where you might be asking more of yourself than you have the energy to give. This awareness can help you make clearer choices about how you live, what you take responsibility for and what you are ready to relinquish.
Each session is shaped around the individual and what is present for them that day. Sometimes movement, breath or stillness will be the starting point; at other times, a conversation or a question will guide the practice. The tools are brought together thoughtfully, with time to notice, reflect and integrate what emerges into everyday life.
Em’s approach is warm, direct and grounded. There is no requirement to have experience in yoga, meditation or Qigong, or to arrive knowing exactly what you need. The intention is to meet you where you are and support greater awareness, vitality, resilience and trust in your own capacity to navigate your life.
Sessions are held online, with Em joining you from her mountain home near Gloucester.
Practice that supports your energy, your clarity and the life you want to live.
