Testimonials

  • Thank you so much for this past week, it really felt like a milestone in my personal development. It made me change my daily routines, and gave me so much more awareness for the way I live my life. Being an athlete I keep getting input from all sides pushing the "Yang" side - my trainer, my coach, the federation - everyone wants me to perform more, train harder, do better. To spend a full week focusing on slowing down and doing less has been more beneficial for me, than any hard training plans I've been following. Attending your training was one of the best investments I've made recently, and I'm sure I will benefit from these insights for the rest of my life ~ Anna

  • Thank you again for the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of yin. I’ve come away from the week with a better understanding of the modality and how to start to effectively curate experiences for my students and with a deep curiosity for where the path of yin and meditation intersect. You are both awesome teachers and an inspiration to me. I’m truly grateful to you for that.. and I’m excited to learn more!

  • After completing my first yoga teacher training over in India a couple of months ago, the 50 hour yin course with Em and Eliza couldn’t have been a more perfect complimentary place to land, learn more about the body and its systems, and dive deeper into the broad art / science that is yoga. The two teachers demonstrated a profound experiential wisdom and joy that was both infectious and inspiring. I can’t recommend this course enough for anyone interested in Yin and T.C.M., whether as a personal opportunity to sink deeper into your yin side and yogic practice, or to grow more deeply as a yoga facilitator and teacher. How lucky we are to have teachers as incredible as these two teaching accessibly priced, high quality yoga to communities of interested practitioners and seekers. All my love and appreciation

ABOUT EM

With over 15 years of teaching and more than three decades of study in the Inner Methods, Emma has devoted her life to exploring the meeting point of ancient wisdom and modern embodiment. Her practice and teaching are grounded in Buddhist psychology, Taoist philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the subtle energy sciences of Qi Gong, fascia, and meridian theory.

Emma’s journey began in her early years when anxiety and depression pushed her to look beyond conventional answers and into deeper inquiry. That search led her to the transformative practices of Yin Yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Over time, she immersed herself in training with many of the world’s leading teachers, including Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, Bernie Clark, Grand Master Mantak Chia, Lama Tendar, Robert Peng, and Jo Phee. Her studies span Yin Yoga, Qi Gong, fascia release, meditation, and energy cultivation, each shaping her distinctive approach.

Today Emma is a Master Yin Yoga Facilitator and Teacher Trainer, as well as a guide and mentor for students and teachers alike. She continues to teach from her mountain studio while leading retreats across Australia and internationally. Her teachings emphasize sovereignty, truth, and energy awareness — bringing the language of the body, breath, and natural world into direct experience. She has supported over 1,000 students and guided hundreds in private 1:1 work, helping people meet themselves with clarity, courage, and compassion.

Emma’s classes and trainings weave the ancient traditions with functional anatomy, fascia science, and energetic reality. Students come away not only with knowledge of postures but also with an embodied understanding of how Yin, Qi, and awareness transform the nervous system and open the possibility of living from authenticity and inner authority.
