Brightness- A New Moon Exploration with Kaye Oakley

  • Our Yoga Space 2/52 Ourimbah Road Mosman, NSW, 2088 Australia (map)

The New Moon marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle — a time of quiet renewal and subtle power. Often invisible to the naked eye, it invites us to return inward and begin again, no matter what has come before.

Brightness is a deeply nourishing workshop guided by longtime teacher and practitioner Kaye Oakley, designed to help you connect with the energy of the New Moon and the possibilities it brings.

What to Expect

We’ll begin with a gentle, breath-led Hatha flow to invite energy to move freely through the body and awaken your sense of presence and possibility.

From there, we’ll shift into Yin Yoga, resting into supported shapes that help release tension, create space, and open up the body to deeper awareness. This part of the practice allows you to soften inward, connect with your emotional landscape, and feel what might be ready to emerge in this next cycle of life.

Kaye will guide you through embodied inquiry, a practice of tuning into the wisdom of your own body. You’ll also have the opportunity for optional journaling, using simple prompts to reflect and envision what wants to take root as you move forward.

We’ll be practicing within a crystal grid — intuitively created by Kaye — to support insight, clarity, and connection with your deeper self. These subtle energies offer grounding and spaciousness as you explore your inner landscape.

Why the New Moon?

This is a potent time to pause and reset. The New Moon phase is associated with intention-setting, planting seeds, and clearing space — energetically and emotionally — for something new to arise.

Whether you're feeling called to shift something in your life, reconnect with your inner rhythm, or simply rest and realign, this workshop offers a safe and sacred space to do just that.

What to Bring

  • Your yoga mat

  • Comfortable clothes you can move and rest in

  • Layers and warm socks for Yin and meditation

  • A water bottle

  • Your journal and a pen (optional — we will have spares available)

Props (bolsters, blankets, blocks) will be provided in the studio, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

This event is open to all levels — no previous yoga or journaling experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity, an open heart, and a willingness to explore what’s possible.

Spaces are limited to keep the group intimate.
